Members of the National Task Force Visit wounded soldiers in Five Hospitals

Members of the National Task Force who are tasked to support the Somali National Army (SNA) that are engaged a war with Al-Shabab and Daesh on Wednesday embarked on an inspection visit to five hospitals in Mogadishu where the Somali soldiers who were wounded in line of duty are currently receiving medical treatments.

The wounded soldiers are members of the Somali National Army (SNA) and Ma’awisley local clan fighters who were injured in the frontlines where government troops and allied forces are battling with Al-Shabab militants. The National Task Force was headed by the Chairman and the Second Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, Abdisalan Abdi Ali.

The members have personally stood next and interacted with the wounded soldiers and asked about their health situations. The Second Deputy Prime Minister has told the wounded soldiers that the government stands by with whatever care they need.

He added that they will be informed about their health situation once they are recuperating. Nurses who are in charge of providing medical treatments to the soldiers briefed the members of the National Task Force on the health conditions of the wounded soldiers.

The Task Force members urged the nurses to provide medical services to the wounded soldiers diligently. The Soldiers were wounded in the ongoing operations which are aimed at flushing out terrorist groups from the country. Finally, once the members of the National Task Force completed the inspection tour, the Chairman held a press conference in Martini Hospital.

He told that the Task Force is a national and is working where ever the Somali troops are battling against the militant groups. The Chairman called on the Somali populace to unite and join their hands in order fight against the enemy. He warned not to politicize the war against the extremist groups. He urged the Somali populace to financially support the men and women in uniform be it the diaspora or those at home. The National Task Force on Thursday was appointed by the Somali Prime Minister, Hamze Abdi Barre.
