Addis Ababa September 26/2018The 13th organizational congress of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), has kicked off today in the city of Mekele.

He said that the congress will deliberate on ways that would help to sustain the ongoing reforms in a way that benefit the people and the country.

The congress will also help to increase participation of the youth in leaderships as it is critical to ensure democracy, Debretsion said.

Saying that TPLF struggled with other parties and peoples of Ethiopia for political, economic and social successes, it will work for the realization of development and democracy in the country.

“EPRDF is known for thoroughly evaluating obstacles and solving them through in-depth evaluation and discussions to carry out Meles’ legacy and save the country from crisis,” he stressed.

Noting the restoration of people-to-people relationship following the rapprochement between the two countries, Debretsion expressed hope that the congress will adopt resolutions that would further the relationship.

Noting the bottlenecks in development endeavors and maladministration, Debretsion said, TPLF will continue to work for the benefit of the people of Tigray and the country as its goal is to see a developed region and country.
