Dolow District Airport in Gedo Province was successfully reopened on Saturday after a two-year closure due to a political dispute between the Somali Federal Government and Jubaland administration.
Conversely, Dolow District Commissioner in Gedo region, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Abdi Lafeey, has wrapped up a military training given to Jubaland Dervish Forces, who have received high-quality military training on counterterrorism operations in Dolow District.
He conveyed congratulations to the troops who have completed the military training, urging them to use the knowledge and the lessons learned for the service of their people and the country, specifically in maintaining security, liberating areas under the control of the militant group, and the protection and safeguarding of Jubaland’s state.
The District Commissioner urged the troops to uphold the ethics, the honor and the reputation of the army, keep the unity and the statehood, and discharge their national duties with honesty, patriotism, and a sense of responsibility.
In conclusion, DC Lafeey expressed special thanks to the leadership of the army, particularly the Commander of security in Dolow District, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Buule, commending him for his effective leadership, unity, and honesty, ensured the successful execution of the duties of Intelligence Agencies and Jubaland Dervish Forces.
