Somalia’s regional authority of Puntland on Wednesday decided to close all mosques over fears of Covid19 pandemic.
This was a directive issued by the Committee appointed against the prevention of the deadly Covid-19 infection.
The closure of mosques will take effect on 16th April until further notice.
At the same time, Puntland authority has renewed the night time curfew which was due to expire today.
The night curfew will remain in place for another two weeks.
Puntland provincial authority has not so far registered any Covid-19 cases in her territory.
