Somaliland President H.E Musa Bihi Abdi has pardoned 279 inmates on the eve of the Eid al-Adha Islamic holiday. According to a decree signed by President Musa has ordered the office of the Attorney General to finalize the release of inmates as soon as possible. Those pardoned include with people who were convicted with light crimes. It is a norm in Somaliland that the Head of State issues pardons on Eid occasions as an act of compassion in order to allow inmates to spend the holiday with their families.
