The UK Minister for Africa said on Thursday that the UK threw its weight behind a meeting of the National Consultative Council organized by Somalia’s PM Mohamed Husein Roble to address transparency concerns on polls.
“I held phone talks with Somalia’s PM to reiterate UK support for an urgent NCC meeting to address electoral concerns and secure a swift, and a credible outcome.
” UK Minister for Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean Vicky Ford tweeted.
“All parties must refrain from provocative actions and avoid violence,” she added.
