The National Elections Committee, which is in the process of distributing voter cards in the Sahil, Sanaag and Awdal regions has held public meetings to raise awareness about receiving voter cards in major cities where the exercise is underway.
The National Electoral Commission has dispatched vehicles with mikes to the remote areas to urge the potential voter who registered to collect their cards.
Card distribution in the three regions that started on May 31 will continue until the ninth of this month.
Meanwhile the chairman of the National Elections Committee, Musa Hassan Yusuf has once again reminded the residents of the stated regions that they ought to immediately collect their voter cards as it is underway and that only a few days have remained.
The cards being distributed are for those who newly registered, those who reportedly lost theirs and those who have changed residences since last elections of polling stations.
