Badhan– Ministerial delegation from Puntland are currently on working visit to Badhan township which is part and parcel of Somaliland. The education minister, the deputy ministers of information, family affairs, and interior have met and held question and answer sessions with students at Makhir university. The regional Sanaag governor for Puntland and other diaspora community were in attendance. The education minister responding to queries from the attendees reiterated that workshops aimed improving education will be held in Badhan and intellectuals and scholars drawn from all Sanag province will be invited into the seminar. Mr. Abdisalan Said Farah, the deputy information minister of Puntland in reply to a question put by a student pledged that Puntland will establish regional office ministries in Badhan. It was yesterday when Puntland soldiers started to collect taxes from the residents with the consent of Somaliland authority. Badhan which is part of Sanaag is now fully in the control of Puntland which a clear violation of Somaliland territorial integrity.
