HARGEISA– Somaliland government has distanced itself from claims that it masterminded Buhodle suicide bombing. The attack claimed the loss of two people and injured others after man blew himself up. The minister for public works, Hon. Abdirashid Du’ale Qambi has responded to statement made by Puntland’s deputy leader accusing Somaliland linking barbaric and horrendous bombing that occurred in the town. The public works minister said that the statement from Puntland leader was politically motivated one. Somaliland and Puntland are contesting in the control of Tukaraq where the armies of both sides skirmishes several times.
Mr. Qambi said that it was unfair to suggest that the crime was orchestrated by agents of Government in response to an uncomplimentary statement by Puntland deputy president, Abdihakim Abdullahi Haji Omar better known as Amey. Two of those who sustained injuries in the aftermath of the bombing are in Hargeisa receiving medical treatment.
