Somaliland’s Minister of Livestock, Omar Shu’ayb, addressed an incident that occurred in the Kodayare area of Dacarbudhuq district, stating that the incident involved only one individual and that security forces are currently pursuing the person accused of committing the act.
The Minister stated that the country’s security situation is generally stable and affirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining security and dealing with anyone who commits a crime.
“The incident in Kodayare involved only one individual—there were no accomplices—and a search is underway for the man who committed the act,” said Minister Omar Shu’ayb.
He also emphasized the need for a united stance against anyone who commits a crime or engages in wrongdoing, noting that the government will take action against anyone who disrupts security.
“We will stand united against anyone who commits a crime or does something wrong; the government will deal with them with an iron fist, and there will be no leniency,” the Minister said. Minister Omar Shueyb added that there is no general state of insecurity in the country, stating also that no one will be allowed to block roads or instigate insecurity.

The Minister affirmed that the government would take firm action against anyone attempting to block a road, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
“No one has the right to block a road. We will deal with this with an iron fist; those who write about these matters and spread falsehoods will later complain about being summoned by the CID,” said Minister Omar Shuaib.
The Minister made these remarks while discussing the security situation and the government’s response to incidents involving road blockades and actions that officials view as threats to public order.
