The Danab Commando forces of the Somali National Army—specifically the 161st Company of the 16th Brigade—conducted a planned operation from last night through the early hours of this morning in the Jowhar-yareey area of the Lower Shabelle region.
The operation focused on controlling the movement and routes utilized by Al-Shabaab for their activities, particularly targeting locations where boats crucial for local transit were stationed. During the operation, Danab forces took measures to disrupt the movement and transit routes used by Al-Shabaab, while simultaneously bolstering security and monitoring key areas within the locality.
This operation is part of the planned missions being carried out by the Somali National Army in the Lower Shabelle region, aimed at strengthening security and undermining Al-Shabaab’s operational activities.
