Somaliland: Dairrhea outbreak is reported in Taleh

TALEH— Diarrhea outbreak is fast spreading in Taleh township after it was reported acute scarcity of clean water due to the drought. Mr. Iman Ali Farah, a local nurse has told that the long drought was the responsible for the lack of clean water as most of water wells dried. There are 37 patients who have constructed diarrhea and Mr. Iman said that there are many other where their families are coping with. Some of the patients have been transported to Lasanod while others were taken to Garowe to seek further medical help. There are no hospital in the town at the moment but family members are coping with their patients by giving traditional medicines. The government of Somaliland has not issued a statement in regard to the diarrhea eruption in Taleh.
