The President H.E. Musa Bihi Abdi has sacked a couple of regional governors, transferred others, and redeployed some in a major provincial administrative reshuffle that also saw the central bank director general relieved off his past.

A presidential circular that decreed the changes dated 11th September, Saturday, comes roughly a week after major cabinet changes that happened after quite a while.

The new postings see the Daadmadeed region get a new governor since the last occupier of the past resigned to vie for the parliamentary seat which he has since clinched.

Togheer RG Mohamed Dirie Hayd takes over the Oodweyne post, Daadmadeed. Marodi-jeeh RG Jama Haji Ahmed has been redeployed to become a commissioner at the National Human Rights secretariat.

The Human Rights post was vacant since the last occupier was named a cabinet minister in charge of the judiciary.

The new Hawd and Sanaag RG’s are Messrs. Ahmed Yasin Mohamed and Mohamed Elmi Hussein who replaced their dismissed predecessors.

Ahmed Arwo has been replaced by Mukhtar Abdi Quule as the Director-General of the Central Bank.

The new head of Harbours and Free Zone board is Said Shukri Hussein, while Ahmed Haji Dahir joins the board of Directors of DP World, Berbera.
