The U.S. Gov’t has announced a financial reward estimated to be around 10 million U.S. dollars will be given to everyone who brings an information that would lead the capture of Abullahi Banati who was the prime suspect who was responsible for carrying out the attacks that took place in the U.S. military base in Kenya particularly in Manda Bay on the 5th of January, 2020.
The militant group of Al-shabab has claimed the responsibility of carrying out the attack which claimed the lives of three U.S. soldiers and wounded Kenyan soldier.
Manda Bay military base is part of Kenya’s defense positions.
The base is used by U.S. soldiers in order to conduct trainings, and provide support to emergency operations which are aimed to deal with the threat in the East of Africa.
The justice program which is under the security service of the U.S. State Department has said that the reward is intended to encourage in order to find out information that will lead to justice.
It is promised that a rehabilitation opportunity and security protection will be given to those who bring the information.
This step is part of U.S. efforts in the search of individuals who pose a threat to the U.S. national security and its allies.
The U.S. gov’t calls on everyone who has the information regarding the attack on Manda Bay military base to covertly contact with the program which is in charge of the justice and pledged to protect their confidentiality.
