Somaliland: President Warns against the killing of armed forces

The incumbent president has strongly spoken against the unabated killings against men and women in uniform whilst in line of duty to maintain security in parts of Sanaag province.

President Bihi has declared that the state cannot tolerate against the murdering of armed forces personnel without clear motive.

The Head of State at the same time has sent sincere condolences to the families of fallen soldiers killed in action in Eil Afwein in Sanaag region.

President has strongly protested against the armed forces personnel who have been targeted on numerous times.

The president said that he condoled both the police forces and the national army where he could not figure out why they are being killed.

It was recent when two senior police officer were killed in action in Eil Afwein which sparkled public outcry within Somaliland.

He stated that it has become easy for tribes to kill whilst the gov showed a sense of patience in order to observe peace and stability.

He also announced that the gov is losing patience and  has put in place a zero tolerance policy towards killing armed forces. The Head of State also said that his gov is committed to arrest perpetrators who have killed armed forces personnel.

The restive Sanaag region recently witnessed inter clan fighting which also led to the assassinations of armed forces personnel who were in action to sustain law and order and later become victims whereby the warring tribes have targeted them.
