Somaliland President Musa Bihi Abdi has issued a presidential decree reshuffling some of the provincial governors, sacking others and appointing new officials. This means new faces have joined Bihi’s administration. According to the statement, Somaliland president has relieved all duties from Sool, Hawd, and Awdal provincial governors while appointing a new governor of Awdal region to Mohamed Ahmed Alin Timbaro who is the ex-Sanaag regional governor. Ahmed Osman Hasan Elmi who is the the former governor of Sahil region has been shifted to Sanaag governor.
On the other hand, the president named Ahmed Mohamed Haji Du’ale, as the new governor of Sahil region. He formerly served as Sarar regional governor. Bihi has also named Ahmed Egge Mohamed as the new regional governor of Hawd region. Mr. Abdikarim Adam has been recommended as the new governor of Gebiley while Mohamed Osman Indho Balac has been shifted as the new governor of Saraar region. This is the second time president Bihi has made a mini reshuffle to the regional governors.
