BURAO–Somaliland Police Chief has pledged to implement the rule of law from day one and has promised to introduce reforms in police department in Somaliland.
Brigadier General Mohamed Adan Saqadhi alias Dabagale has paid an official working visit to Erigavo, Sanaag’s restive province, Lasanod, Sool’s provincial capital and is currently touring Burao, the regional capital of Togder.
On his inspection visit, the police chief reiterated that Security would be his priority during his tenure as police chief.
He has visited inmates in Burao jails and has the chance to sit down and have one-on-one interview with them.
He inquired about their health and well being In order to ensure that they have been provided with healthcare whilst in detention.
He also asked about if the facility is cleaned on regular basis.
Mr. Dabagale got to know if the inmates appeared before the court for the crimes they have committed or if their court hearing is overdue.
He has the chance to review the booking records which provide information pertaining to official arrest records and ensured if there were any contradictions.
