Presidential condolence on the demise of eminent lawyer Ibrahim Hashi Jama

The President of the Republic of Somaliland His Excellency Musa Bihi Abdi has sent deep heart-felt condolences on his own behalf, that of the government and the people to the next of kin, family members and relatives on the demise of veteran legal expert the late Ibrahim Hashi Jama who has just passed away in UK on the 27/03/2023 after a long illness bravely borne.

The Head of State condoled, by extension, the members of the judicial fraternity, lawyers, scholars, intellectuals, the elderly, friends of the late lawyer and the people of Somaliland.

Similar message of condolences were sent by the Chief Justice Hon.Adan Haji Ali, Religious and Endowment minister Hon. Sheikh Albani and also the Minister of Assemblies Coordination and Constitutional Affairs Hon. Mohamed Haji Aden Elmi.

He described the deceased as a top legal expert and patriot activist who worked for his country and left a monumental legacy  especially in his collaborative work especially with the National Assemblies Council on the development aspects of the Constitution and the Laws of the country which he largely translated into English and also as the founder of the Somalilandlaw.com website which published the nations constitution and monitors legal issues.

The President said the late Ibrahim similarly played a significant role in the struggle for the reconstruction of the country and the development of Somaliland, an important role in the struggle for the nation, and in addition, was a pioneer and leading front runner and mantle bearer in the diaspora community welfare abroad.

The President, the CJ and both ministers prayed to God to rest the soul of the departed eminent personality in eternal peace and wished stronger faith and patience in the trying moment to the bereaved and all he condoled.
