Musa Bihi Abdi, SL President, received a delegation of Qatar headed up by Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al-Qahtani, Special Envoy of the Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar.
In the first place, the president of Somaliland has received a message of greeting that Emir of Qatar has sent to H.E Musa Bihi Abdi.
The President noted that the visit of Qatari delegation that it is the right time to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.
Establishing a consular office here in Hargeisa, Somaliland capital was part of the discussion between the two sides.
The two sides have also talked about the possibility of Qatar Charity organizations to operate in Somaliland in order to carry out humanitarian projects.
The President has briefed the visiting Qatari delegation to Somaliland on the progress that SL has made in terms of democracy since its inception in 1991.
