Addis Ababa, August 27, 2018 – Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed will attend the 2018 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) which will take place on September 3 and 4 in Beijing.
He is expected to discuss with Chinese President and Premier Xi Jinping and Li Keqian, respectively, on the sidelines of the Forum, according to Fitsum Arega, Chief of Staff at the Prime Minister’s Office.
“The Forum will elevate the relations. China is Ethiopia’s largest trading partner and source of the largest FDI,” he said on Twitter.
This year’s Beijing FOCAC summit is themed as win-win cooperation and joining hands to build a closer community with a shared future for China and Africa.
Founded 18 years ago, FOCAC serves as the key platform for the collective dialogue and cooperation between China and African countries.
