Somalia’s cabinet condemned a failed coup attempt which was aimed at seizing the office of Somalia’s PM Mohamed Husein Roble.
The cabinet threw its support behind the PM’s efforts to convene a meeting of the National Consultative Council.
The Minister of Information Osman Abokor Dube disclosed the statement.
The minister backed the efforts underway by Somalia’s PM to hold free and fair polls despite claims of fraud.
The upcoming NCC is expected to address transparency concerns pertaining to the ongoing parliamentary elections.
