HARGEISA–A delegation consisting of UK ambassador to Somalia, Ben Fender flanked by its head of mission to Hargeisa, Stuart Brown have paid a courtesy call to Dami district in Hargeisa on Friday.

Wadani party spokesman Barkhad Jama Batun has received the delegation upon arrival in the village.

The mission behind the visit paid by UK diplomats to Somalia to Dami village in Hargeisa was a fact finding mission according to Barkhad.

The delegation has inspected that the roads need urgent repairing, lack of healthcare facilities, lack of soccer grounds and that there is lack of political participation in Somaliland.

The delegation from the UK diplomats have stayed and listened the complaints that the residents have voiced.

Mr. Batun hopes that this is a good start as the UK office to Hargeisa has initiated to have links with the community in Dami and pledged to implement various development projects.

Dami is among the villages in Hargeisa where its residents are believed to be impoverished communities.
