Somaliland: Ugandan Airlines to commence flights to Hargeisa

Ugandan Airlines announced on Tuesday plans to commence flights to Hargeisa.
This was disclosed by Uganda Airlines director Cornwell Muleya.
Muleya said that the addition of new aircraft to the fleet, the airline will expand its network to start flights to several other destinations in Southern and Central Africa.
He added that nine new flights will added to the airlines route, this includes Kinshasa, Zanzibar, Asmara in Eritrea, Hargeisa(Somaliland), Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg Djibouti and Addis Ababa
The Somalian authority which claimed to have assumed the airspace control from ICAO did not so far commented.
It is not yet quite clear if Ugandan flight to Hargeisa is a direct one or not.. This open competition among other airlines including the likes of Ethiopian airlines which is operational in Somaliland.
Kenya airways is also expected to start flights to Hargeisa. Somaliland has a booming market which saw the attraction of international carriers from Africa and Asia.
