Somaliland has on Tuesday successfully launched the Polio National Immunization Days (NIDs) campaign. The deputy Somaliland president, Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail in collaboration with UNICEF and WHO officially announced the commencement of the inoculation exercise. The exercise will be conducted nationwide according to the ministry of health of Somaliland. There will be 12,000 staffers who will conduct the vaccination in 4 provinces and 12 districts. It is expected that more than 48, 000 children under the age of 5 will benefit from the inoculation. The DP has commended the health ministry in its drive to eradicate polio from Somaliland is a sign that the gov is committed to protect the well being of its citizens.
