HARGEISA–The Defense Ministry has decided to set up a military hospital for its armed forces that will be tasked with caring for soldiers seriously injured while carrying out military operations.
The ministry on Thursday laid the foundation stone of the military hospital in Hargeisa.
The chief of Somaliland’s armed forces and the minister for finance were in attendance.
The decision for the ministry is to provide the vital care of men and women in uniform to have proper healthcare.
The defense minister said that the decision as part of a plan on advancing the military’s health and medical treatment services.
