HARGEISA— Somaliland’s quality control commission today has lifted the suspension from U-Fresh, a local plant manufacturer which produces small beverage drinks. The U-Fresh plant manufacturer has re-started operations today following the compliance of health related guidelines issued by the quality control commission. The plant was closed down after it failed to be on par with the standard set by the QCC after it conducted thorough probe and constant investigations. The probe revealed that the drinks of the plant contained toxins that could be of great harm to the consumption of Somaliland citizens. The chairperson of QCC, Mr. Muse Hasan Yusuf has announced lifting the suspension from a ceremony held at the manufacturers headquarters. The QCC has urged the plant owners to comply with laws and regulations of the land.
