Puntland’s health minister of Somalia has announced that two cabinet members have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus pandemic. The two ministers were among 8 people who have contracted the deadly Covid-19 pandemic after they were tested. The health minister has declined to offer details of the ministers who tested positive for the Covid-19 but reiterated that they are in stable condition. 4 out of the 8 people who tested positive for Covid-19 were registered in Qardho, two others in Ga’alkayo while two others were confirmed in Garowe. The health minister has deplored that many people who showed signs of Covid-19 and who died in Bosaso were not examined. Puntland’s tally of Covid-19 has reached 59 while Puntland has so far reported two deaths. The education ministry supervisor for Nugaal region, Omar Guure had succumbed to Covid-19 yesterday. He was in Garowe isolation facility after he died of the coronavirus.
He is the first official from Puntland who died of Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic
