At least six health workers including doctors in Somalia have contracted the CoronaVirus.
According to the country’s health ministry, the officials contracted the virus from a patient in the capital Mogadishu.
Doctor Ibrahim Gulied, the Secretary General of Somali Medical Association is among those infected with the virus.
Somalia confirmed its first Covid-19 case in mid March since then, a total of 80 people have been diagnosed with the disease.
Five people have also died of Covid-19 along with two others regaining their health.
Somalia imposed a night time curfew in the capital Mogadishu a bid to contain the pandemic.
Schools and universities have already been closed.
Hospitals, pharmacies and food stores and not subject to the restrictions.
