Somali Troops kill Alshabab fighters in a military operation

Somali troops supported by local clan militia fighters conducted a military operation targeting Al-shabab militants who were stationed in Dabagalo district in Mudug province. The Somali gov’t said that six Alshabab fighters were killed during the operation. Commanders who led the counter terrorism operation said that the targeted Alshabab fighters were stationed at a check-point in Dabagalo district. The gov’t further said that those Alshabab fighters killed was among an operative who was responsible for the militant groups for extorting money from the local residents in Dabagalo as means of sakawat. Xarardheere is among areas in Mudug province where the Somali gov’t troops backed by the local clan militia fighters conduct counter terrorism operations which are aimed at flushing out Alshabab remnants from Galmudug state
