The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), working alongside with Int’l Partners, carried out a targeted airstrike in Jambaluul area in Middle Shabelle province, killing two Al-Shabab operatives.
NISA confirmed on Wednesday the strike resulted the death of Farhan Osman Hassan better known as Jacfar Karuur, who was in charge of explosions carried out in Benadir and Middle Shabelle regions.
It is also confirmed that the airstrike resulted the death of Ahmed Omar Gumaar, who was head of Finance for Alshabab in Middle Shabelle province.
The bodyguards of the two Al-Shabab operatives were also killed in the strike.
NISA in conjunction with Somali National Army (SNA) intensified its operations which are aimed at driving out Al-Shabab remnants from Somalia.
