The minister of internal security Mr Mohamed Kaahin Ahmed held talks with UCAP and EUCAP chiefs in his Hargeisa office.
The two international organizations work with Somaliland Coast Guards which falls under interior ministry.
Minister Mohamed Kahin chaired the orientation meeting with the new EUCAP East Africa mission chief Mr.Kauko Aiatoma and UCAP boss.
They discussed the strengthening of cooperation between EUCAP and Somaliland Coast Guards which has succeded in securing the long, porous Red Sea coast of Somaliland.
The minister was flanked by the director general ministry of internal security Mr.Mohamed Yusuf Ismael abd Somaliland Coast Guards commandant Brigadier General Ahmed Hurre and other top officials at the ministry.
EUCAP mission was represented by Mr.Kenneth Neijness who is the head of Somaliland office, Mr.Mahad Ahmed coordinator of EUCAP in the country and Mr.Mohamed Ibrahim EUCAP policy advisor.
