Ali Jeyte calls for a strategy to end the prolonged war in Hiran region

The leader of Ma’awisley local forces, Mr. Ali Jeyte Osman, has said that it is the right time to bring an end to the ongoing prolonged war that the Somali troops as well as local clan forces are engaged with the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group of Al-Shabab.

He has criticized the way the war has been handled. He reiterated that it is time to put forward the liberation strategy which will lead to ending the war with Al-Shabab. He called on Hawadle community to throw their support behind when it comes to bring an end the prolonged war.

He said that we should not be scared when it comes to the the ongoing war with Al-Shabab. He said: ” The fighting continued for a long time. We need a support. We will not give up the fighting if we do not get the backing of the Somali Federal Gov’t. We will continue the fight and we will not retreat as far as the war with Al-Shabab is concerned.”

He urged on Hawadle community to come together for a large meeting in order to get a real support for the ongoing war with Al-Shabab. He said: ” The way the war is handled is not the right way. The traditional elders must have a closer look at the way the war is being handled.”

He went on to say that ongoing war with the al-Qaeda affiliated group of Al-Shabab does not have a real strategy. He called on that a strategy which is aimed at ending the prolonged war must be created. The leader of Ma’awisley made the remarks in an Iftar that brought together Hawadle community in Mogadishu. The focus of the discussion was the community to get ready for the ongoing war and the upcoming one man one vote which is expected to be held in Somalia.
