Three senior Al-shabab leaders were killed in a major operation which was conducted by Somalia’s security forces and world friends.
The operation which was jointly planned and carried out by the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), the Somali National Army (SNA) and world friends took place on 6th June, 2025 in El-Hareeri settlement.
The statement released the names of top Al-shabab leaders killed in the operation: However, they pointed out that those killed in the operation were important members who belong to the leaders of the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group of Al-Shabab.
A statement went on to say that the operation was a major blow to the terrorist group of Al-shabab.
It added that the Somali Federal Gov’t will continue to dismantle the leadership and operational capabilities in order to thwart planned terra attacks.
The militant group of Al-shabab has been waging a war with the Somali Federal Gov’t and carry out deadly attacks in Somalia.
The Somali Federal Gov’t intensified its operations against the terrorist group of Al-Shabab for the past months, and pledged to eradicate the terrorist group from its hide outs in South and Central Somalia.
