Sudan: Al-Bashir Steps Down, Army Takes Over

The Sudanese army is expected to make an announcement to address the reports regarding the deposed leader. Following months of protests and civil unrest, embattled Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir plans to step down, according to a report from Arabiya Thursday. Multiple media reports have stated that the resident of al-Bashir was surrounded by military forces and senior government officials have been detained. The international airport in capital Khartoum has also been closed, Al Hadath TV.  The Sudanese army is expected to make an announcement to address the reports regarding the deposed leader.  Al-Bashir had been in power for three decades.
