The state on Tuesday has rolled out the 3rd phase of Covid-19 vaccines after the health development ministry has received 30, 000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the French gov’t. The gov’t officials said that the inoculation exercise will be conducted in the other major cities of the state. The Director General of the health development ministry has urged the public who got the second doses of vaccines to get the third doses to prevent the pandemic and to keep the virus at bay. Saed Milgawi Hassan who is an immunization specialist while speaking the rolling out of the new vaccines has said: ” On behalf of the partners who remain committed to supporting and working closely with the ministry of health and development to ensuring that we reach our people with the needed vaccines. We all aware at the moment that trend of the events and the ever evolving situation around the pandemic and the commitment on gov’t and partners is key to ensuring that we prevent and ensure that the impact of the pandemic is mitigated or limited to a level that is appreciable. So we have seen that commitment with the health development ministry and we are closely working ever since we role out vaccination commenced and I would like also to call upon our people to avail themselves to take advantage of this opportunity to come out in droves and get vaccinated.”
