Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Saturday held a fruitful meeting with Turkish President, Recep Tayyib Erdogan on the sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The two leaders discussed the long-standing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed ways to further consolidate the bilateral ties between the two countries in the areas of security, trade and investment.
Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud stated the importance of unifying the ongoing efforts and plans which are aimed to confront the terrorist groups.
He lauded the Turkish government the active role it plays when it comes to the pacification and development of Somalia.
During the meeting, Turkish President Erdogan, has reiterated that his government stands the people of Somalia.
He further said that Turkish government will continue the support it provides to Somalia in the areas of rebuilding Somalia’s robust armed forces, economic development and the strengthening government institutions in Somalia.
