Somalia’s Prime Minister, Hamze Abdi Barre, on Thursday has appointed National Task Force responsible for supporting Somalia’s National Army (SNA) that is engaged an ongoing war with the terrorist groups the likes of Al-Shabab and ISIS.
The National Task Force in charge of supporting men and women in uniform who are engaged in a war consists of 7 members and the Second Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia, Mr. Abdisalan Abdi Ali is chairing.
The members are government officials and includes minister of interior, Ali Yusuf Ali Hoosh, the health minister, Ali Haji Hassan, environment minister, Bashir Mohamed Jama alias Goobe, internal security state minister, Mohamed Ali Hagaa, Banadir regional governor, Mohamed Ahmed Amir and the chairperson of Somalia’s Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohamed Ma’alin Abdille.
The Task Force will be responsible for extending support to the Somali National Army (SNA) and Puntland’s Dervish Forces that engaged a war with Al-Shabab and ISIS respectively.
The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Somali Federal Gov’t, Abdisalan Abdi Ali, has said that he welcomes the appointment and to chair the Task Force which is tasked to support Somalia’s National Army pertaining to the ongoing war against terrorist organizations.
The Second Deputy Prime Minister said that this is a huge responsibility and I am elated to be part of the Task Force.
He said that he is committed to support the Somali Gov’t which conduct operations against the terrorist organizations.
