Djibouti and Ethiopia chose to send a representative to attend the 28th establishment anniversary of Somaliland’s National Army Day held in Hargeisa, Somaliland capital. Somaliland held a ceremony marking the 28th establishment anniversary of National Army Day. The Head of State H.E Musa Bihi Abdi on Wednesday received top military officials from Djibouti and Ethiopia who came to Somaliland to attend the commemoration of National Army Day. “The President of the Republic of Somaliland Musa Bihi Abdi in his capacity as Commander in Chief of the armed forces held a meeting with Djibouti deputy chief General Tahir Ali Mohamed, and Ethiopian senior military officials,” the statement said. The purpose of the meeting was to thank the president of Somaliland as well as SL military leadership to express thanks for inviting them to attend the National Army Day celebrations. It was Musa’s first meeting with the military leadership from Djibouti and Ethiopia. SL, Ethiopia and Djibouti share bilateral cooperation in the areas of security and trade.
