HARGEISA– The Minister for Justice, Hon. Abdikani Mohamud Ateye, recently received a courtesy visit from Turkish Consular General accredited to the Republic of Somaliland, Hon. Ali Noyan Coskun. The Minister and Turkish Consular to Somaliland discussed on ways that the Turkish Government is to assist Somaliland on prison reforms and to improve in jails in Somaliland.
The ministers wants that local jails in Somaliland should be the same standard to those in the globe. Mr. Ali Noyan, Turkish representative to Hargeisa has pledged that his country is contributing to a project which is aimed at providing technical skills to inmates. He has announced that his country will bring sewing and knitting machines in Somaliland.
