Second Deputy Prime Minister Presides over crucial meeting to intensify operations against Al-shabab and ISIS terrorist groups

The Second Deputy Prime Minister of Somali Federal Gov’t, Abdisalan Abdi Ali, who is also the chairman of the National Task Force that support the Somali National Army (SNA) on the war with Al-Shabab and ISIS groups, yesterday held an important meeting where the members of the Task Force attended in which they discussed the support of Somali National Army (SNA) which is engaged an ongoing with Al-Shabab and ISIS terrorist groups.

The focus of the meeting was to expedite the support to the men and women in uniform who are the frontlines.

They also discussed ways to further intensify the operations which are aimed to drive out Al-Shabab and ISIS terrorist groups from the country, and to support the Somali National Army (SNA) in the frontlines.

During the meeting, the committee also talked about plans to strengthen the cooperation among the security agencies and the various administrations in the gov’t.

The Somali Federal Gov’t is committed to ensure that victory will be reached when it comes to the war in eradicating the terrorists, after the Somali National Army (SNA) was defeated in the past couple of weeks.

The Task Force was appointed by Somali Prime Minister after the war with Al-Shabab militants escalated.

The Task Force held previous meetings and their sole responsibility is to provide unwavering support to the men and women in uniform regarding the ongoing war against ISIS and Al-Shabab terrorist organizations.
