Preparation of facilitation for national schools’ exams exercises in final touches

The ministry of education is in the final touches of its preparedness in facilitating the national certificate of examinations for both the primary and secondary schools.

It is worth noting that the fraternities of the tertiary education have been this year co-opted into aiding in the invigilation processes for the certification exam activities for the 2023-2024 school years’ exercises.

Education and Science Minister Hon. Ahmed Adan Buhane led a meeting concerned with both the facilitation and coordination of the exercise at national level, with the exams due to start on Saturday 22nd, the coming week.

The concerted efforts brought together the National Education Committee, the tertiary education fraternity and both the officials of the education department and the National Examinations Office.

Of note is the fact that a hot-line communications center at the headquarters was proposed to be set up immediately and forthwith tested as part of the efficient, excellent and tangible manner that this time round the exercises plans are slated and deemed to be expedited and handled.

The long serving examinations office CEO Mr. Daud Ahmed Farah and his deputy Hassan m. Qallinle were at hand.

Somaliland and Kenya discussed investment opportunities and industrialization in the region

Hargeisa (Dawan) The Minister of Investment Development and Industry JSL, Mr. Abdirisaaq Ibrahim Mohamed and the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Abdikarim Muse Maal, received officials from the Kenyan embassy in Somaliland at the ministry headquarters.

This delegation led by Amb. Abdiweli Mohamed Hussein, head of the Kenyan Consulate in Somaliland, was accompanied by officials from the Kenyan Embassy in Somaliland.

During this meeting, the minister and the ambassador discussed the cooperation between Somaliland and Kenya in economic development, investment opportunities and industrialization in the region and how to cooperate to implement these opportunities on both sides.

The Minister said that Somaliland welcomes Kenyan citizens who are interested in implementing investment projects in the country, and noted that the ministry will always be at hand to facilitate required investments opportune services needed thereof in either public or private cooperative prospectus projects.

The meeting ended in mutual understanding with various points pondered on concluding in affirmatives.
