The President of the Republic of Somaliland, His Excellency Musa Bihi Abdi, toured the headquarters of the Ministry of Information, Culture and national Guidance.
On hand to receive him was the minister Hon. Suleiman Yusuf Ali Kore and sectional heads of the ministry.
The President who was accompanied by several members of the cabinet, Somaliland’s police chief, the governor of Maaroodi-Jeeh region, some parliamentarians and other officials, inspected the various departments of the ministry, news sites, radio and television stations and its associated offices.
The head of state was briefed by several sectional heads on the aspects and chores their respective departments entailed.
He later had a meeting with the staff of the ministry at the led by the minister.
Hon. Suleiman who spoke at the meeting, reported on the services of the ministry for the nation and the role of senior staff in raising public awareness.
The Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who is the chairman of the KULMIYE party Hon. Mohamed Kahin Ahmed on his part urged the staff of the Ministry of Information to increase their efforts and spend more time in the defence of the nation.
The Head of State thanked the Ministry of Information staff and their leaders for the extensive work they have done for the community, and extended the useful programs broadcast on the national radio and television, which he described as one disseminating information and intellect based on knowledge and experience.
He pledged to stand by everything positive that the ministry strive for.
