The Constitutional Court from Somaliland on Wednesday has issued a ruling on the recent row between Somaliland’s ministry of education and the private schools. The Supreme court has nullified on the new policy put in place by the ministry of education. The court has said that the policy is null and void and ordered that it will not be put into operation unless it is amended. The court has based its verdict ruling over the deliberations made by the house of elders, the house of representatives of Somaliland and the country’s lawyers association. The private schools have cried foul over the the distribution of scholarships where all of them were given to public school students.
