The president of Somaliland H.E Musa Bihi Abdi in a presidential decree number RSL/XM/WM/222-178/082018 announced that the government has returned the management of public assets that were illegally privatized back to government control. Amongst the assets confiscated by the government include the Berbera Petroleum terminal, Security and Parking of Egal International Airport.

The head of state ordered the revocation of the illicit contracts by these companies the Berbera Oil Terminal which was managed by (BOG), Egal International Airport security which was run by (SRM) company) and the Egal Airport parking controlled by EPASS company.

The president asked the ministry of commerce, industry and tourism, ministry of finance, auditor general, accountant general and ministry of aviation to audit the three companies and come up with the real valuations of the aforementioned state assets and the amount of money accrued by the firms since taking over the management of these government institutions. All employees working for these companies will continue with their jobs. There are many state institutions that were blundered during the former regime of president Silanyo. Many government lands was stolen and given to politically correct individuals close to the corridors of power.
