Lady Edna Adan is said to have raised the issue of Somaliland’s recognition of the British Empire in a meeting with Prince Charles yesterday.
Edna Adan who met Prince Charles, Prince of Wales the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, at the Commonwealth games of Nations opened in Birmingham City in the UK.
The meeting between Lady Edna and Prince Charles, which has not been disclosed, is expected to raise the issue of the independence of the Republic of Somaliland, which has a deep relationship with the United Kingdom.
The meeting comes a few days after a meeting between Lady Edna and members of the French Senate where the issue of Somaliland’s independence and other issues was raised.
