On the 28th of August, 2018 at the University Of Hargeisa the President Of The Republic Somaliland Mr. Muse Bihi Abdi officially opened two new construction projects recently added to the University Of Hargeisa Campus, the first one being the Dahabshiil Group Conference Hall (Donated By Dahabshiil Group which is a local partner of the University of Hargeisa), the opening ceremony was attended by the CEO of Dahabshiil Group Mr. Abdirashid Duale and fellow guests and members of the media, the conference hall is located within the campus of the university of Hargeisa and is open for university use, the second construction project being 32 full service restrooms for staff members and students alike (Which is also financed by Dahabshiil Bank), the restrooms are also located within the University Of Hargeisa and are also ready for use by the university.

The President of the Republic Of Somaliland initiated the start of a new construction project within the campus of the University, the construction project being a fully equipped lab which is eight floors and is meant for medicine and engineering use, the construction project will be carried out by Najah Construction.
