23 US lawmakers submit a motion to recognize Somaliland as independent state to congress.
According to the official website of US congress, a Congressman Kevin Hern, drafted this motion, March 18, 2022, it is supported by 22 Republican lawmakers.
The bill, which was submitted to the foreign affairs committee on Thursday, was submitted to the US Congress the same day.
The move comes at a time when a high-level delegation led by President Muse Bihi Abdi is in the United States, following a series of meetings with government officials and members of both houses of the US House of Representatives, a motion Somaliland Partnership law, submitted senate members.
