Somaliland President H.E Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi Irro who is on an official working visit to Djibouti on Thursday held high level meeting with Ambassadors from the UK, France and Ethiopia. The Meeting which focused on exchanging views on the general situation in the region and the role that Somaliland can play.
Somaliland President Irro discussed with the ambassadors on working the security of the region and consolidating the cooperation in the area of regional stability.
He stated that Somaliland plays a crucial role on security issues and the stability of the region. He underscored the importance of the Horn of Africa on the security of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
In addition, he spoke with the ambassadors on the economic development of the region, investment opportunities, trade facilitation, improvement of development projects and the increment of the humanitarian aid.
He commended the ambassadors on the cooperation that they have with Somaliland particularly the UK and Ethiopia which have representatives in Somaliland.
He urged France to follow suit and establish diplomatic office in Somaliland.
