The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Kenya, Mr. Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle, received the World Health Organization (WHO) Representative for Somalia, Dr. Humphrey Karamagi, at the Somali Embassy in Nairobi during a working visit.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and collaboration, as well as supporting efforts to improve healthcare in Somalia and address the country’s health challenges. Ambassador Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle and the WHO Representative also discussed enhancing institutional coordination and multi-sectoral collaboration to secure effective support for the Somali Government’s initiatives to improve health services.
Discussions also covered ways to enhance the quality of the health system and ensure that the Somali population has access to quality, sustainable healthcare services. Furthermore, the meeting addressed the need to upgrade the skills and knowledge of health workers in Somalia.
