A meeting presided over by SL President H.E Musa Bihi Abdi together with Deputy President, Abdirahman Sayli’i and cabinet members have discussed issues pertaining to the upcoming elections as well as their plans put in place in order to handle.
The cabinet ministers have agreed strengthening security during and before the poll day which is slated to take place in Somaliland on 31 May, 2021.
The council have also reached an agreement that the electoral law is to place state owned media should be equally accessed by the political parties and the cooperation between the national parties and state media run should be proved.
The cabinet also decided to reinstate the country’s drought committee and send a fact finding members to drought stricken areas in need of food distribution and to begin emergence response.
